After Ian Wright brought down the house in February, Funkshun are back with another heavy hitter Keb Darge, the funk soul legend plays his first ever date in limerick on the 16th of march 2009 at the Underground, Bakerplace.

The guy is a living legend, a soul collector for 30 years and a founding figure in the current funk explosion. Most people into good music will know his name even if they don’t know who he is or what he’s about. His knowledge of black music is second to none, using it to educate and spread the music worldwide through his BBE Records compilations for which he has collaborated with DJ Shadow, Kenny Dope and Pete Rock. He has also tried his hand at production working with amongst others The New Master Sounds for the Deep Funk label and BBE. The busy Scot runs a funk label with Kenny dope also called KAYDEE .

Support duties on the night are from limericks very own PC. PC’s knowledge of music runs deep and his Block radio shows on Spin fm are becoming legendary. So for a night of great music check out Funkshun in the underground 16th march and for 10 euros you will see one of the top djs in the world (in our opinion of course)
