Handsome Paddy p.k.a. DJ Fonetik Presents The Chop Shop Podcast Vol.3

What follows is the True Story about the man now known as Handsome Paddy, words credited to Mr. Johan Doobay !
“How Paddy got handsome….
Handsome Paddy – crowd pleaser, lady teaser, nipple squeezer. When he walks into a room, guys grab their girlfriends a little bit closer outta fear and reach for their shades before he blinds them with his dazzling smile. He’s everybodys’ best friend but yet no-one really knows him. Some say he doesn’t even exist. “No man could ever be so handsome, he’s just a computer hologram!”, they cry – usually out of jealousy. Handsome Paddy exists alright, but he wasn’t always handsome. Oh no………………………….
……………………….Many years ago, there was a butt-ugly dj named Fonetik in Dublin city, a nifty young digger & scratcher who was unfortunately cursed with a face like a tinker’s arse. Seriously, he was well mank! He spent night after night at home in his one room bedsit, cuttin’ double copies of Impeach The President by candlelight, hiding his hideous rectum-like features. One night, after staring too long at old James Brown album covers, he become so frustrated at the Godfather’s good looks and his own knacker’s arse-like face, he decided to do something about the whole situation. He swam straight home to Serbia, and hiked deep into the mountains until he found Terja Mandikki, an old witch-doctor who was known to make ugly boys handsome. There, he traded the doctor 2 old Parliament albums and a “Top Billin” original 12 inch in return for an attractive face he could be proud of. “I am a doctor, not a miracle-worker!”, replied Terja Mandikki. However, the operation was successful beyond belief – Fonetik was now a true stunner, with the physique of an olympic long-distance runner and yet a head as bald as a baby’s bottom. He swam back to Ireland quicksmart, and suddenly found his confidence had reached new plateaus – both on the turntables and in young womens’ bedrooms. He become a mover, a shaker – he was handed the rarest of funk gems everytime he walked into a record store, just because the owner wanted to see his precious smile. He started to play all the cool spots around the city, competing against even the best djs in the country. He was finally happy. “I AM HANDSOME”, he cried. “I AM FINALLY HANDSOME!” To celebrate his new-found beauty and mark the end of the butt-ugly Fonetik, Handsome Paddy has created this mix for you. So you too can be handsome.
But not as handsome as him.”
